NMM 2441. Horn, Belgian Congo (now Zaire), ca. 1850-1900. Ivory. An effigy head inlaid with rings of black resin to form the eyes. Lozenge-shaped embouchure with two carved ivory extensions. Overall length: 580 mm; sounding length: 305 mm; blowhole length: 57 mm; blowhole width: 19 mm. Ex coll.: Harry Oster, Iowa City. Board of Trustees, 1978.
