SUMMER EXPLORER SERIES
For Students Entering the Fourth Through Sixth Grade
|
Shaking Up Shakespeare!
WHAT: Each summer, the
NMM offers a series of programs that are designed to introduce
children to the instruments in the collections in a fun and meaningful
way. Children will be able to examine closely several artifacts and put them into an historical context that will be meaningful to their everyday lives. They will learn some different things and have fun in the process! If your children participated in the series in the past, you can be assured that different instruments will be examined and new projects will be explored.
|
This year, we're shaking up Shakespeare!
Would Shakespeare have played the piano? The guitar? How about the trumpet or flute? "Play On!" by discovering and exploring musical instruments that were around during the time of William Shakespeare. Make your own Elizabethan Era musical instruments to take home.
