NMM 2992. Parade drum by Slingerland Drum Company, 1928-1941. Brass "cloud" badge: SLINGERLAND / QUALITY DRUMS / CHICAGO, ILL / U.S.A. Wood shell with decorative American flag decal, 300mm (12") x 370mm (14-5/8"). Single tension. Six, double, claw-hook lugs with center post. Wood rims. Snare adjuster. Arne B. NMM 807. Snare drum by Slingerland Drum Company, Chicago, 1936-1938. Stamped on batter head rim: SLINGERLAND / RADIO KING. Radio King Model. Wood shell with white, marine-pearl decoration, 196mm (7-3/4") x 380mm (15"). Separate (double) tension. Eight Streamlined lugs. Double-flanged, metal rims (hoops). Three-point strainer #967 with leveling knobs. Arne B. Larson Collection, 1979.

Radio King Model. Wood shell with red lacquer, 330mm (13") x 391mm (15-3/8"). Separate (double) tension. Eight, separate-tension Beavertail lugs. Double-flanged metal rims (hoops). Eight Beavertail lugs. Double-flanged metal rims (hoops). Radio King strainer (incomplete). Snare gate attached with rivets. Model #1080 muffler with two cups and pads. Arne B. NMM 3020. Parade drum by Slingerland Drum Company, ca. 1950. Stamped on brass cloud badge: SLINGERLAND / QUALITY DRUMS / CHICAGO, ILL. / U.S.A. Large emblem affixed to shell featuring a star and laurel, stamped: AMERICAN / US / LEGION. Square, wood shell with gold-and-green, two-tone pearl decoration, 359mm (14-1/8") x 437mm (12-3/16"). Separate (double) tension. Eight, two-post tube lugs with double-claw hooks. Wood rims. Snare adjuster. Arne B. Larson Collection, 1979.

Wood shell with six different lacquers in vertical strips around the shell (gold and blue, cream, auburn and gold, red, black and gold, natural finish), 229mm (9") x 389mm (15-5/16"). Separate (double) tension. Eight Sound King lugs. Triple-flanged metal rims (hoops). Three-point strainer #967. Arne B. Larson Collection, 1979.

Wood shell with Red Sparkling Pearl decoration, 329mm (13") x 388mm (15-1/2"). Separate (double) tension. Eight Streamlined lugs. Triple-flanged "Stick-Saver" metal rims (hoops). Rapid Strainer #673. NMM 5320. Parade drum by Slingerland Drum Company, Chicago, ca. 1960. Oval, brass badge: SLINGERLAND / QUALITY DRUMS / CHICAGO, ILL. U. S. A. Legion Heir Model, No. 574. Wood shell with mahogany veneer, 254mm (10") x 356mm (14"). Single tension. Eight center post lugs with double-claw hooks. Maple rims (hoops). Rapid Snare Strainer. Drumhead signed in 1968 by Eugene McCarthy when he visited Albany, Oregon. The drummer, GregRobin Smith, asked the presidential candidate to autograph the drum. Gift of GregRobin Smith, Seattle, Washington, 1992.
