"Beethoven & Berlioz, Paris & Vienna: Musical Treasures from the Age of Revolution & Romance 1789-1848" |
NMM 10002. Keyed bugle by Charles-Joseph Sax, Brussels, ca. 1840. Built of brass with seven keys, ratchet tuning slide, attachment for a lyre near the bell, and original mouthpiece. Charles-Joseph Sax, the father of Adolphe Sax, was a great instrument builder in his own right, as this instrument demonstrates. |
