NMM 10471. Harp by Lyon & Healy, Chicago, Illinois, ca. 1900. Serial no. 887. Style 20. Standard concert size. Engraved on brass head plates at player’s left: LYON & HEALY [script] / CHICAGO Makers U.S.A. / No. 887 [number 7 is an upside-down 2] / Manufactured under five Patents [script]. Forty-five strings (DD-e4). Double-action pedal mechanism with fourchettes. Height 178 cm (70"). Length of longest string: 150 cm (60"). Original owner, Willard Gilbert Selleck (1880-1959), Oakmont, Pennsylvania. Gift of John W. Selleck, Galena, Illinois, 2003.
