NMM 2353. Drum (kundu), Papua New Guinea, mid-20th century. A typical wooden, hourglass-shaped drum with handle, dark finish, and snake or lizard-skin head attached with a braided rattan hoop. A pair of eyes is carved above the handle. Length: 78 cm (30-3/4"). Arne B. Larson Collection, 1979.
