1665. Brand (double strike) on back, below button, the lettering
curved downward at each end: SCHWEITZER. Top: two-piece, quarter-cut
spruce, wide grain. Back: two-piece, quarter-cut maple with faint, narrow
curl, descending slightly from center joint. Arching: full, symmetrical
arching rises abruptly at edge and flattens out at center. Gift of Thomas
